Anna Vissi, was very kind to grant us an exclusive interview.
Thank you Anna!
Q: Was there a specific moment that inspired you to get involved in music?
ANNA: I guess that would be the minute I faced the first light and heard the voice of my mother giving birth to me.
Q: Where do you see yourself 10 years from now?
ANNA: I really don’t bother thinking about that. I only believe in what I feel at the present time. I care about doing the things I want and love, especially in the music world and somehow, I guess, this will lead to “that” future, which I now prefer to remain unknown.
Q: What should every person try at least once in their life?
ANNA: 20 years ago I would say try marriage once… 20 years after that, I say try divorce once! Hahaha
Q: What brings you the greatest joy?
ANNA: Singing under the ideal circumstances…An Example: When my grandson opens his eyes in the morning and I happen to be there singing a song.
Q: What is the best advice you’ve been given?
ANNA: That there’s no advice useful enough, rather than your own experiences and what you’ve learned from that. We need to try things first and then decide what’s best for us.
Q: What is on your bucket list?
ANNA: Travels…long ones. I want to see and feel more of this world before I depart forever.
Q: Who are your heroes?
ANNA: Some really old fellows who are still around and keep fighting to live within their spirit and hope. They are smiling and every word that comes from their mouths is the right thing to say, if you know what I mean.
Q: What is your greatest indulgence?
Q: What quote do you live by?
ANNA: Quotes are fun but unrealistic in my opinion. Every day and everything you live and experience, can render a yesterday’s quote obsolete. Generally, I don’t like to get trapped into one-way paths. I am just “open” to life I guess.
Q: Best gift you’ve ever received?
ANNA: Two grandsons so far, after nature gave me my daughter!
Q: Name one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
ANNA: Maybe that I am a good tennis player? I don’t know 🙂
Q: One thing you wish you knew when you were younger?
ANNA: Even though I wouldn’t be whole if I changed anything, it’s better the way it is.
Q: One sentence that describes Greece for you.
ANNA: A yet to be discovered blue paradise!
